Nice.

This reminds me of the old Google toolbar strategy to increase usage only DDG is doing it with privacy browsers.

Feeds say new DDG browser is not based on chrome.

They made it sound like it will use whatever rendering engine that comes native with your OS.  So Safari's rendering engine on macOS and Edge's Chrome based engine on Win.  Unless I'm reading it wrong.
