A client once told me "absolutely not" to allow reviews on the site. His objection was basically this problem - he was either going to have to host bad reviews or lie. He chose to do neither.
So there are gmb review tools that allow you to populate your site with them. You can choose a minimum number of stars for review display. Seems like a very gray area.
