A good read.  Debbie says it is a Call To Action.

Good read.

My grandmother, the only Democrat in the family, made me sit down in front of the TV on her living room floor to watch Dean testify: "Your president is a crook and you should know what he's done." Of course, she had believed he was a crook ever since (possibly before) the Checkers Speech, so for her Watergate was just the confirmation of something she considered established fact. I don't remember anything Dean said, but for many years we were bound together by a passionate (her) or mild (me) interest in Watergate trivia.

During the Iran-Contra scandal, she would watch people like Ollie North testify and say, "It really has none of the drama of Watergate."

>>call to action

How so? What are you thinking there?  A call to more hard investigative journalism, or specifically investigations of certain presidents?

>Checkers

Heh! We were 'business class' republicans and we thought he was a crook from the beginning of his first term.

It didn't happen. Please read my quotes in the Bradbury thread.
