Remember the 55 mph national speed limit after the OPEC crisis? Please. NO! I'll pay for gas.

Never again!  And I remember the cops on the interstate driving at exactly 55 daring anyone to pass them.  Jerks.  I'll pay the gas price.

So, as you all may or may not know, drivers in California are basically terrible and getting worse with each passing year.  Over the last several weeks I've been experimenting with driving like an old man on our freeways.  I've been cruising at about 60 mph in the second from the right lane and I have to tell you it's super liberating.  The madness just zooms right around me at 80+ mph.  Meanwhile I'm getting substantial gas savings and never have to hit my breaks.  I could just put it on cruise control and go.  Of course, this doesn't work during commute times, but I try to avoid that if I can.
