My sister lives in Nowra, a naval town roughly 150KMs south of Sydney, they had 1.2ft of rain over the last four days, last year they had 0.2ft in the same period! Their neighbouring town, Shoalhaven, has been almost been completely cut off. The local naval base, where my brother in law is based, has been in full humanitarian mode for the last 10 days.
