I'm told it works quite well and a lot of people love it.
There are extensions to Google Docs and Libre Office (and I assume MS Word) that let you convert to markdown. So you could compose in any of those, convert to markdown and publish on blot.
Most of these are a hassle if you want to do images and things like that. Probably lightning fast though.
Not quite as barebones as Brett's blog on WMW though (I can't remember, but didn't you get the blog if you tried to access the robots.txt from a regular browser or something like that).
