Who are people using for non UK domain registrations?
I'm currently using godaddy for a lot of stuff, but really can't justify that decision based on any experience with them. However I want to register some stuff that I don't really want linked too reasily to me / the company.
Don't want to use private registrations either - just register in a different name. However godaddy register in your account name by default then you have to go back and change it - by which time it is in the public domain already. Plus.. they are crap.
Any better suggestions?
Namecheap.com lets you set the registration info before the purchase and also lets you block the whois for free for a year.

Another method is to get a godaddy giftcard of a large/semi large value and use it to setup numerous godaddy accounts, 1 per domain.
I recently switched to fabulous and they also free privacy, as well the quickest DNS changing I have ever seen. You can use whatever info you want in the whois here too.
All I'd add is that it would be wise to make sure that whatever contact details you go with on domains, make sure there is a functioning email address in the contact details becasue if registrars see a load of bounce backs to WDRP emails that they are contracted to send out (as part of ICANN accreditation), the decent registrars will conduct an investigation into contact details authenticity which you wouldn't want.
As long as the WDRP emails dont bounce back, the contact details "look ok" and no payments get charged back you should have carte blanche to put in whatever details you want imo.
