You said it all.  This is a long long way from those Estes rockets I used to build and launch and then try and get out of a tree.

I love seeing this, it's like all those 1950's rocket scifi movies I used to watch, have come true.

Wow! That is cool af! I'm guessing this is a DIY setup and not off the shelf?

I have fond members of "big bertha," the largest you could build and launch as a kid. I miss that thing.

Yeah, a quick scan of his earlier posts show cnc and/or laser scintering 3d component builds.  On those posts the rocket appears to be about 6 feet tall.

Fantastic.

No fins! The entire flight the rocket motors must be adjusting to keep it true. That's really impressive.

I still have the Big Bertha I made.  I spotted it in my Mom's basement.  Some of the fins are broken.  I'm pretty sure all my rocket stuff is in that same box.  It was so big, you could not miss it when it flew.  Those were good times.

Oh yeah! We made those in shop class and launched them on the football field in middle school. What a great memory.
