OK RC?
Yeah, we just got the edge of the winds (40-50 mph) and only 3.6 in/9 cm of rain. We had no damage and never lost power. It came ashore just south of Myrtle Beach, SC and headed generally toward the northwest and central part of the states --which went below and behind my extreme northeastern NC location.
Some SC beach towns were hit quite hard, but my daughter near Charleston had no damage. Inland area damage in both the Carolinas was mostly downed trees and power lines. You'll likely see some headlines about 4 deaths in NC due to the storm but these were generally 'dumb ways to die' accidents and not directly related to death-by-storm, IMO. The media just loves to dramatize this stuff.
Great to hear it.
