Reading a NYT article about the fragile futures of Meta, Twitter, all the new "free speech" platforms (Parler, Truth Social), they mentioned that the youth are flocking to new players, especially

BeReal - the basic idea is that everyone is notified at random times to capture a photo and has two minutes to do so. The idea being that it is harder to curate your personal life for the for purpose of provoking jealously and self-loathing among your friends who are not living your perfect life. Instead, you show the actual, most likely boring, thing that you are doing right now.

Gas - now the most-downloaded social app even though it is only available in 12 states in the US. It has pre-made polls and the idea is to send anonymous compliments to friends. Because the polls are pre-made, bullying is very hard, supposedly.
