Ho hum. Printing homes. Does anyone really care? To get me excited about a new technology, I need something whizzbang. Something incredible. Something that is absolutely and fundamentally useful to my daily life.

3D printing has finally reached that essential stage with this benchmark breakthrough.

Relativity Space says their Terran 1 rocket is the world's largest 3D printed object to exist and attempt orbital flight. But, their recent launch didn't reach orbit.
