Going through this again. Some stick out, but especially #17: 4/5 of all aliens choose to land in the US based on the database of UFO sightings (alternative hypothesis: Americans are especially good at seeing UFOs).

My theory: dogs
I got bored once and went to the MUFON website and looked up UFO sightings in my county. Amazing how many were late at night or in the wee hours of the morning because the spotter was out walking their dog. I'm blaming fido.
That might explain it. They were looking for intelligent life, so they saw dogs being taken for walks by their servants in the middle of the night and decided those were the ones to talk to. It all makes sense now.
