My problem with Kagi has always been with privacy.  If you have to register, login, and give them your credit card info, your searches are not private.

I wonder what Cory Doctorow will have to say when he digs a bit deeper. Funny that he recommended it even though based on this it hits all his hot-button issues

All this said, there seems to be praise on social networks from Kagi users and also a lot of criticism.  I can't help thinking the criticism comes because "Vlad" the CEO of Kagi has put himself out there instead of remaining aloof and keeping a bit more social distance.  Sometimes it's just best to keep one's mouth shut.
