This is a good idea.  A lot of chromium browsers in Linux distributions are already tweaked to be de-googled.  For instance the one in RPieOS has DDG as the default search engine.

I would caution against recommending this to most users without listing caveats. I wrote about them elsewhere (https://seirdy.one/notes/2024/07/15/caveats-to-ungoogled-chromium-recommendations/).

It's fine to recommend it to users who understand these trade-offs.
