This is really bad without dumb TV options.

Note that TV manufacturers seem to be making money off of ads, but only Google is making a profit on ads on the Internet.

If you've dumped cable completely, couldn't we go 100% monitor-based by adding a tv tuner box & a roku?

Once you get above 32" it is hard to find monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio. They exist...
