'In 50 years, I think we'll view these business practices like we view sweatshops today'

How do we view sweatshops today?
I would argue that today, I like to pretend that sweatshops are a thing of the past so that I don't have to feel guilty about buying running shoes on online from some massive distribution center. I might even like to think I'm superior sometimes because I'm getting my stuff fulfilled via a sweatshop warehouse that isn't Amazon and delivered by OnTrac, one of the most exploitative businesses in the US and responsible for a lot of last-mile delivery in the West.

Like slavery. Or recycling. Informed people know of the problems but prefer denial so as to not be inconvenienced. That's me.
OK, so that makes two of us. Which, bringing it back to the original post, means we're screwed.
