Fascinating. Especially his thoughts about devaluation of the dollar.

Ironic! A sufficiently devalued US dollar could make it cheaper for Canadians to buy things from the US even with tariffs ... at the very time many of us are swearing off American goods.

I'm not committed to absolute-zero American purchases but our household is leaning hard in that direction.

Well, as per your recent post in the quotes thread, it's not a bad approach.

Ezra Klein was talking about the many issues at play and his interviewer asked why he wasn't writing about a particular one and he said, "My hair is on fire over that, but I don't have a lever to pull there."

That is probably the only lever regular Canadians can pull and it's more effective than most levers that regular Americans can pull currently.
