Same founder, same venture capital backing, same need for rapid growth, same cash fire. In that respect it's also a map of other problems with Twitter that aren't addressed by decentralization.
I don't think any service like this that depends on ad revenue for most of its income can align with the actual interests of users. And I think it's hard to get the network effects they need for growth if you depend on subscriber income.
Is there a model that cuts that Gordian knot?
