Interesting both for the science and the typically bad way in which it spins.
It seems like saltwater should be heavier both because of the salt and because it's probably a bit warmer than freshly melted water (water is heaviest, i.e. most dense at 4C).
BTW, without this property of water, life as we know it would probably not exist. Unlike most substances, water gets heavier, then gets lighter, then turns to a solid. If not for that, life on earth would be radically different.
