Houses built for the heat & humidity of the South do not perform well at 14f/-10c & 23% rh.

With some thermostat pattern changes, mine did OK --especially considering that our elder temperature comfort levels are 74f/23c. But we're also acclimated to 50-55% rh indoors and rh in the 20s is literally skin-chilling.

But my wife's local social contacts were really howling.
