I dont want to have fanny about too much.

Who elsem would you recommend. I want decent price and quality. Not some muppet in India wanting western rates. sorry!

It's been a while since I look at hiring a coder, but back then (couple years ago) rentacoder was the place to go (now vworker.com), and elance was more for writers.

That could have drastically changed since then though.

We have found some good programmers in the past at VWorker. It usually takes a few before you find a good one but there are some very good ones in there.

I quite like the set-up at oDesk.  All the full-time coders seem to be on all the sites anyway.  I found the oDesk set-up a bit better for working with new devs.
