The crazy part is he just needed to give 3k "buyout" to release. He bought the car and sold it back at lease end, 3k was the difference.

If you could bank on that...

Yeah, that surprised me too.

I thought where the article was headed was that it was another case of someone driving for Uber but not accounting for capital costs, just gas and tires. Then there was the $3K buyout and I thought, "Damn, some people are clever."
