Whew! Hard to extract the bullets from that piece. Great writing, read the whole verbose piece, but not my favorite style. Good post, though.
"strange feeling of watching a place I loved take one more step down the staircase of its cultural ruin"
reposted link to article on bsky using "strange feeling of watching a place I loved take one more step down the staircase of its cultural ruin" as the title. Let's see how it goes.
That line stood out to me too. I might have gotten more click-baity but I was posting from my phone while watching pancakes cook :-)
But yes, it's not about bullet points. More about the feel. That's why it's in Water Cooler rather than a topical subcore (see what I did there?)
>cook >phone
Heh, I can't imagine trying to post from a phone nor not being so one-track that I could do 2 things at once.
>click-bait
I didn't see anything better. Without that line I'm not sure the article would even be perceived as Meta-negative.
You know, I used to be a maniacal mono-tasker, but watching pancakes cook is not enough to grab my full attention. I commonly have a book or a podcast, but today I had neither.
Generally I avoid typing on my phone because it quickly gives me tendon issues.
