I think I posted about reports of single employees using $150,000 worth of tokens in a single month.

A lot of the AI job replacement hype is based on the idea that AI "workers" will essentially be free. That is, every $200,000 engineer that is laid off is a $200,000 savings.

That may come to be true if open weight models get better and compute gets cheaper, but right now it appears that you have to choose from two fairly expensive ways to do things in most cases

It reminds me of that old post here that was along the lines of "Millennials, your lifestyle is about to get more expensive."
