Whoa! There goes a big chunk of the surveillance state ...assuming they abide by the decision, which Debbie says is unlikely.

Were you surprised by this ruling?

I definitely was. These practices have been allowed to either run free or have been supercharged by things like the PATRIOT Act and various local law-enforcement tech. I did not expect SCOTUS to take a stand on this one.
