Title: is there a way to claim a community page on facebook?
Post by: Gurtie on November 21, 2011, 12:18:37 PM
I mean one of those created with wikipedia data - its a wierd scenario where the community page is actually about a company, but outranking their official facebook page on brand searches. I can advise throwing some links at the official page, but it would make more sense to claim this one - except I can't see any mechanism to do it!

Cheers

Denise.

I'd love to know how to do that as well. I have a similar situation where the Wiki page is outperforming the real company page in the results.

heh - well after a bit of a rummage I found their actual page was only visible when logged in, which wouldn't be helping much in the SERPs  ::)

Original question still stands though as I'd still like it tidied up :)

No, you can't right now, afaik. You couldn't, then you could, then you couldn't. if you don't see a 'claim this page' link, you can't.
