Title: Google indexing comments : Opportunity using "works at" tag?
Post by: Rooftop on November 28, 2011, 01:55:31 PM
Was just looking at some sites that happened to be using facebook commenting.  Am seeing more people using the "works at" tag to link to their brand pages.  Wondered whether this was helping increase the visibility of their facebook pages.

Not seeing much evidence that it works, but not exactly looking hard either. However thought it was an interesting idea.

Example:  luxuo.com/luxury-locations/porsche-design-tower-miami-car-elevators.html - see comments

Don't fancy living on the 57th floor and using the car elevator. They already have stuff like this in Japan, although more just stacked parking.

back to facebook - It'd be a brave company who asked all their staff to fill in 'works at' and then let them say what they wanted on Social Media imho. Its hard enough getting policies past the lawyers when you suggest they seperate things as much as they can.....

Depends how much control of the users you have I suppose.   I wasn't thinking of real people!
