One application I work on is a bit poor in terms of performance and is setup in the cloud. It sucks shit really and I reckon I could get a better performance out of a VPS.
I was under the impression that the cloud should scale well, but I fear this is an example of scaling a poorly written app and the age old issue of Devs saying they need more RAM etc etc
I am looking for examples of application/sites that run well in the cloud, with possible high peak loads at times (2.5M page views, some coming in waves).
I need to learn how to do get this slick.
