I have to tell you, when you can be different, do it. This small company is taking on the giant Gillette in an Internet campaign that is f*cking brilliant. They opened last week. And the premise is simple: a subscription service for razors.
Here's the site, and the commercial: http://www.dollarshaveclub.com/
saw this on Thursday. Brilliant. Solving a problem I didn't know existed. Great idea and great packaging.
Also, a good story on Business Week

It's a good ad for sure. Hopefully more of these sites will spring up and put pressure on the big boys so that I don't have to pay £500 per razor or whatever ridiculous price Gillette currently charge.
I hadn't seen the ad, but discovered the campaign from another source earlier today (we're so a little bit of work in this space ATM).
Have been seeing quite a bit written about subscription commerce being on the rise as well.
QuoteI'd sign up in a heartbeat if they launched over here
My friend Axel in Germany was interested as well. I sent an email asking if they do international orders.
