There is something I have my eye on, it is £12k but only £8k in the states. How can that be possible.
You don't half get a better deal over there.
Suppose it would nicely for a trip :-)
VAT is 20% of it, right? £ => $ exchange rate would also kick in a good bit.

BTW, remember the recent G20 meeting in Korea? The underlying agenda there was to stop the currency wars, a.k.a. "competitive devaluation." Needless to say, they didn't reach an accord.
I TOLD you to pay more attention to my economics threads, Gimpy, hhh.
>>I TOLD you to pay more attention
You know the drill, you pay moern attention when it matters to you more or you feel the pain from something.
I loved it when we had a super stong pound, couple that with Labout day savings and a nice trip to Mass and you are on a winner.
It was almost like free money.
Back on tipic this was one reason why I wanted the Euro. I was fed up with teh exact same thing costing different amounts, and I am not talking about cigs or booze. The fact that the great Bristish public would have been able to see how we get ripped on this Island meant we could have put pressure of the bleeders who rip us off.
That said, I would charge more if I could. :-)
why would we want the euro Richard when Spain and Portugal are right behind Ireland in the pecking order of being F U C K E D financially
We are not in the Euro but we are still contemplating bailing out Ireland out of some sort of BS moral obligation. I even heard one supposidly intelligent person hard back to the potato blight? Muppets

We have out own crisis.
