Title: G preview and lightbox?
Post by: rcjordan on November 28, 2010, 03:27:05 PM
jangro in previous thread:
QuoteI'm going to experiment with using a static thumbnail of the video and a lightbox presentation.  And maybe also put the plain old embedded video down at the bottom where it won't make such a mess for folks who can't see the lightbox for whatever reason

For a couple of years, now, I've been thinking my next format for landing pages would be lightbox-driven. Any feedback on G preview and lightbox yet?

A quick spot check shows that on one site where the gf is running an Aweber lightbox form, the form is not showing in the preview. However it's delayed 25 seconds. so maybe G wont see it at all?

No, not at all. My evil hat was not on when putting the box together. I have a hard time believing G will index it at all.

There are box scripts that can do either ajax or onpage visibility toggling.  Vis toggling is said to be far more tolerable to G now that the big popular js libraries.  Add G preview and lightbox gets my attention for sure.
