That didn't cross my mind, though it should have -- peripheral vision at speed and low gforce can cause vertigo and nausea problems for non-commercial pilots, and not just student pilots, either.
Hauling him to Atlanta's heat & humidity wasn't such a bright idea, either.
Boyfriend's son is 14 (legal age of getting a driver's permit here in Kansas) and I was teaching him to drive (simple stuff, just around the block) and I remember we got to turn the corner and he barely turned the steering wheel.
We were going maybe 10 mph, and I grabbed the wheel from him and TURNED so the car woudl actually turn. I asked him why he didn't turn it more, and he said
"Well, on the XBox, you only need to turn the wheel a little bit."
*rolls eyes*

Major credit to the kid who strapped into a real car and flew around Road Atlanta. The consequences of blowing a turn at 100mph+ produce some pucker factor in me.
