Title: Encryption programs?
Post by: I, Brian on August 09, 2012, 02:27:03 PM
Am looking to start using a Lacie Cloudbox to save to the Cloud, but figured it would be a wise precaution to ensure everything uploaded there is encrypted first.

Anyone have any recommendations on encryption programs? Am currently using Windows 7.

No one here uses third party encryption? :)

I use truecrypt for virtual encrypted drives. I suppose you could sync the file from that to the cloud, but the cloudbox would then have to be syncing the entire storage file each time which doesn't seem particularly efficient.

Interesting device though. Might look at that to replace my home NAS.  Any idea how noisy/quiet it is?

Sorry... meant to post but had to find my blog post first. This is all I know:

According to the FAQ, SecretSync should work with anything that is synching local folders to the cloud
