DB - look for vids of Alex Honnold free soloing Moonlight Buttress... these guys have nothing on Alex.

Holy moly, almost made me puke just watching some of the vid. Wow, there is not enough money in the world to get me up there.

Last time I watched that it occurred to me that someone built it, not just climbed up it!

Sorry, but I just gotta say - a 1600 foot elevator ride and then 168 feet of climbing? Bah! No big deal.

Like I said, check out Honnold doing Watkins, Half Dome and El Cap (about 6500 feet of total climbing) and notice at about 1:18 where his foot slips, his eyes go wide for a second and he goes right back to work.

I can't even begin to explain how much difference there is between climbing a radio tower and a 5.13 (Honnold free soloed Phoenix). Most climbers will train daily for years and never climb a 5.13 in their lives, let alone without a rope.

I always wondered who puts those clips on the side of mountains so all the other climbers can use them.

One of life's mysteries solved. Cheers for that :)

Totally agree. Free climbers are the bomb.

This, I just saw as different. It's a job. It's not his passion or sport. I have no issue risking big if it's what drives you but as far as someone doing this as a job... better him than me:)

That Bike riding made my hands sweat...  thx Dogboy!

This is one of my cycling heros.  Must have discussed him here before:

In the UK, other searches shows Gee Atherton, who has a brother and a sister in Downhill racing... amazing skills.
