Title: Meltwater News - What is it?
Post by: bill on September 04, 2012, 01:57:51 AM
My company is being approached by some company called Meltwater News who are trying to sell a fairly expensive keyword monitoring service. Apparently they watch news feeds and send you reports when your company name is mentioned, or that of your competitors. Are these types of services any better than what I can get from monitoring Google Alerts and scanning 1000's of RSS feeds (which I do anyway)?

They contacted me to a year or so ago. Couldn't see the benefit though.

I'm glad my company didn't sign up for any packages with these guys...
