Interesting.
Very interesting. I'm currently trying to get a company I supply leads to to use echosign, will check this out a little more before the final push.
I signed up for an accounting service (corporatetaxnetwork.com offered by legalzoom.com) and ended up using the paid service (I think.)
Here was their biz flow pipeline...
1.) Get you to sign up for a free (canned?) webinar, scheduled in advance and made to appear in real time, but I wonder...
2.) If you want to get a free quote, you must first sign up online with a reference number, provided by your account sales rep.
3.) You get a personal 1on1 phone conversation and a rough quote at the end.
4.) if you want to act on the quote they have a second person in billing call you right back.
5.) Billing person records your conversation, takes your CC over the phone, and then sends you a confirmation to the email on your account (submitted earlier to your sales agent) that says the following...
QuoteDear dogboy,
Your signature to the Corporate Tax Network agreement is required.
*** PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INTRUCTIONS ***

were they using this open service?
I can't tell if there were using the opensource code themselves, or whether they got the remotely hosted pay service offered by the other company mentioned on that site, but my recollection was it was a remotely hosted because the links led me back to https://esignforms.com/MPGNYC/mpgnyc.jsp?c=qXXXXXXX ...I assume if they were using the code themselves, they would have directed me to a page on their website.
What I thought was interesting was they seemed to think that what they did constituted 'digitally notarizing' the agreement - something I've never seen done before.
