Title: Google Plus profile to show in SERPs?

I'm curious - how do you associate content you produce so that your profile pic for your Google Plus account shows up in the SERPs?

are you talking about rel=author?

Officially link back to your g+ with that tag, and have the site you are linking from as a site you contribute to in g+.  However you can get the author picture for sites that you don't link back to from your profile too. I've just not figured out what that happens (+1ing in unison with something else I think)
