Title: Odd SERP format
Post by: Rooftop on November 28, 2012, 12:34:04 PM
I've not seen this one before: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22027125/portsmouth%20attractions%20%20%20Google%20Search.png

The thumbnails at the top of the page link to new searches.  Images come from wikipedia.  Each entry has its own wikipedia page with lat/long listed on it.  The choice of attractions is odd though.  If you try "london attractions" there are some very weird ones there.

They've been around for a few months at least.

Are all the images from wiki? Someone on WmW was complaining about copyright and was referencing searches like this one, and was tying in the argument with the whole knowledge graph element. I was thinking that the images were just 'image search' applied to organic, with a hint of algo.

"paris attractions" is another one.
