I unliked a bunch of things and erased some old posts. That's not a strong defence, but it's a start.

if people are scared that's quite interesting. Most people make all of this public anyway. Not sure why they feel that Graph Search is so scary if they do.

Our courthouse/arrest records are public information but people expect them to be buried or at least take some effort to compile. When search engines start automatically displaying a dossier with a simple query people feel violated.  It's not exactly rational, but that's how they react.

Recently, a reporter built a database showing NY gun owners --all public record. When it was published everything hit the fan.

You know what.  I don't care.  I should.  But I don't.  I'm over being paranoid about what can be found out about me online.  If I really don't want people to know it, I won't post it.  If they want to dig and "figure it out" well, so be it.

I'm sure this will bite me in the ass later, but really I'm just done with it.

I barely bother with FB these days personally unless I'm using it to get a discount at one of my favorite watering holes. I never had everything public to begin with but I was opted out of search. Now I've got to go in and cull the rest of my public profile? What a PITA!

Does anyone have access yet to the Graph search?

It's only available to English (US) and my account is English (UK) - Being able to chat and play with it (screen share would be amazing) would be hugely beneficial to me and much gratitude given.  :-*

I used a US FB account to have a look but all I saw was an application only link via the example page, so I have to wait to be accepted.

The "Try a Search" link here https://www.facebook.com/about/graphsearch  HTTP requests .... on first impression can be manipulated to do your own examples, first by altering the user id variable and changing it to your own, but i didn't want to suck up too much time looking into it. Besides I'm sure it will be genereally available soon.
