2007 GMC Yukon. This is just a stock picture, not my particular vehicle but it is the same color and all. Bought it right when it came out a few years ago and I love it. Before that I had a 96 Yukon and then a 91 Bronco. I really liked the Bronco and might pick one up this coming summer for fun.

Jeep Cherokee 2005 model - 3.7 V6 it has plenty of grunt off the line but it gets all a little depressing after about 10 seconds!

Time for an upgrade - the wife loves this thing so it will probably be 4x4 again - ironically we actually do a little off roading in it and it handles nicely, was in the sand dunes with it last month  8)

We have a series 3 defender, but for some reason I don't have a pic of it on me   ::)  Google it!

God knows how old it is and it has a top speed of 60 if you want to retain your hearing, but its good fun and it handles offroad stuff beautifully.

I have to admit the galaxy is a great car to drive, and not just because its named after a bar of chocolate! As in fact is the scoda. Our everyday car is a renault megane (model pre the booty) and there's definately something to be said for nice and practical, and at least the heating works!

It is drivable, but they are still working on some cosmetic stuff.  I am told I'll have it before Christmas.  But, I've heard that before.

Better.  High-compression custom 1800cc VTEC, revs to 10,000rpm.  I'll post some videos when it's done, the sound is outstanding.  Dynoed 240hp at the wheels!  5x the original power.  Actually might have to dial that backward, as the car only weighs 1500lbs.

This is my latest and greatest:

2008 Ducati 998cc Monster Tricolore Limited Edition S4RS #224 of 400 made.  With 4 valves per cylinder it is the most powerful factory Monster ever built, and it has the least amount of plastic (a lot of what you see is actually carbon fiber).  All in all, it's about 134bhp but only weighs 390lbs, giving it the ability to launch you from zero to triple digit faster than you can crap yourself:)

I do find I go alot slower now than I ever used too... age I guess. When toys start to need to be "comfortable"  you know it is downhill from here I reckon.  Yes comfortable is now important for me.

Dogboy... do you get ANY comfort on that sled? When do you get suspension ?

...but it was my 5th bike overall (I got my first minibike, a green Honda 50, when I was 4) ...and I wrecked it, twice, without anyone's help:)  I drove it about 6 months and then had the front end wash out on me on sand in Cali, getting on the 101.  It was at night, my tires were cold, and I had the bike tipped over a little too much on sandy pavement... it just slid away from me.  I was in full gear, and all I had to do was change the puck on the bike:

The second time I wasn't so lucky and I totaled it when I hit oil, the ground, a car:

...and then limped away in anguish, with nerve damage from my shoulder to my wrist, back in May. I'm 90% recovered now, although I was on the new Tricolore literally as soon as I could grip the bar again. But that's what it is like with bikes... you either get back up and get on again, or you sell it... assuming you get up at all:) 

So I honestly don't know what to say, if you are serious.  It makes no sense in general, and that bike in particular.  Notice I didn't argue when they said those things should be illegal?  I think the same thing.  Motorcycles are like heroine.  And technology is getting beyond us.  And the more you ride, the more you horsepower you want... and, for me, a hypercompetitive control freak, everything culminates in that bike.  I'm on crack when I ride it.  It is as subtle as a bag of hammers and just as friendly.  It is looking for an excuse to chew you up and spit you off.  I sincerely have have trouble keeping the front end down first through third, when I really get on it, and I've never had it up to top speed in 6th gear, even in the everglades, reaching 145+mph... I still wasn't there and not really getting close either.  Mind blowing.

But you should have (http://heard) the white one when I switched out the stock pipes for the REALLY loud full Termi race system and ECU/Open air box... which bumped me up into 145bph range:

hehehe that's more difficult than you think to answer:)  If you seek comfort, I think you might be hard pressed to find much, if any, of that in the conventional sense.  But it does exist in the relative sense.  That sled you see there is a custom sled, built to my specs.  I built it out of green Alaskan Birch and wrapped it with 150 braided tuna leader.

Wait, not all these are mine... the Ferrari, AMG, Vette are my father's, in PA.  I drive them when I go home.  We have more. (Even a few helicopters and fixed wing aircraft over the years, but no boats, besides my little 2 man zodiac.)  The trucks and the bikes are/were mine, though.  The dogs, I got out of 4 years ago, and I sold the last truck to my dad (which is why it is still in the background in some shots.) Personally, I currently drive our old 1985 500SEL, with 175k miles on it (when I need a car in FL) and my bike is my daily driver.  (You can see the two in my garage in the video.)  My dad typically hands down his 'drivers' to me and my sister.  Before this I had a blk/blk Saab 93 turbo convertible w 95k.

As far as work, this year I worked for a silicon valley based social media oriented tech company for 4 months, out of my house, as an independent sales consultant, and worked the last 5 getting some stake and a little pocket money in a destination art print gallery site, that is still under wraps. Also took a course online at Stanford in Strategic Decisions last month, which sucked, and got 'refunded' (a much politer form of expulsion, online) after I gave the President my... how should we say... 'unvarnished feedback':) 

The latest thing going on is I have a meeting with a well backed local company that 'monetizes domains', and for the first time ever, we all talked the same talk, so I think we might have a serious match here.  They are also are big into online charities, so they will appreciate my non-profit efforts as well, and I might even push to just apply my self in this area. Meeting is on the 23rd with the Founder and his CEO, so 2011 has promise.  I really want to get back into the game, but I want to play it at a much higher level, and I need to get out of my house again and socialize more.

I also have to admit, I was sick for a few months this year, as well.  Truthfully, the dogs didn't end well, and we all ended up sick (and in a few cases, dead) and I still get knocked on my ass every year, once or twice, when I get a little cold (or I get stressed out, or in a motorcycle accident, etc:) so I spent a good bit of time sleeping and researching diets.  I'm lucky to say I think I figured out quite a bit of what the doctors couldn't solve last year at this same time, so overall I'm in a better state, overall, and am ready for 2011.

  I NEVER think I am anywhere near to killing myself.  I lost my enthusiasm for that when I watched a friend fall off a hill over here.  Scarfell Pike its called.  He cart wheeled down through the cloud base below.  I thought he was dead.  He Survived.  He broke everything and now has 4 kids, and seems to delight in avoiding Avalanches in Norway where he now lives.

I gave up trying to climb at that point (Actually a bit later, when I finally realized I was to scared to do it properly anymore :)) 

I still love the rush though. Love to try a Ducati  Monster some day.

well if you recall i think i am right in saying there was about 36 people for the meal and you was sat on the same table but did not order any food, Peter and Mark was also sat with us

the food was good but took a long time to be served with a lot of mistakes on the order and a lot of people did not get what they had ordered and the till was not working correctly, for all of us including drinks which we had a least 5 rounds the total was £ 800....it was for nothing on the night with what had been ordered

the reason that restaurant was chosen in the first place is Colin and myself had dined there a few week previous on a Wednesday night and the service and food was exceptional, but sadly not the case when we had the Manchester meeting

My black one was geared down when I got it... it'll only do ~110 instead of ~120 on the stock gears. ;-)

Now, if only we could get enough decent snow to run it. We had ~14" a couple weeks ago, then got hit with a freezing rain storm, and have only gotten ~6" since then.  :'(

...heehhehe a few months later, I raced all those dogs in a team, on a little island in the St. Laurence River, North of Quebec... except I only had that wooden sled. Like I said, I don't don't know what is more intense, the bike or the dogs... but I'm already searching for the next best thing:)

See? This would be a badass ride if I was still 10:)  I think if I drive it off the mountain, it might go 55mph end over end, but who knows since the speedometer has been broken since I first bought it, used for $2100 back in '00. 

But it ain't no rocket ship:)

We do at least have enough snow in the neighborhood that most people quit running wheelers down the side of the road with their dogs... it's a start. :-) The black F7 was actually my first sled, because I'm am an idiot that way. hehe I'd probably have been better off learning on one like yours. Could have at least saved me a couple broken ribs. ;)

That is a good question... I don't even care about the answer, just that your knee-jerk reaction was to ask if you can arm it is good enough for me:)

I think I have to go w the sub too. The chopper is about convenience but it isn't about the ocean or really experiencing the water.  

Yeah, but this daydream centers around you... since everything is relative, and money is no issue, how would you do it?  Would you even really want all this stuff?  Or you would want other stuff?  How do you roll? Forget about the money aspect, because if we really had it, it wouldn't influence the decision; we would just do whatever the hell we wanted.

Like right now, I have the option of buying a can of beans or a can of corn.  I like them both but I doubt I would buy both just because I had the money.  I might buy both for another reason, but not just because I had enough money.  Same thing with this other stuff. Someone out there is afraid of heights and personal aircraft.  Someone else wouldn't want to be cramped in a sub. A third might pay you to get them back on dry land after 3 months at sea. Given the infinite wallet etc, I would't bother with boats/planes or even supercars.

My fast driving days are long over, and even then, if the police couldn't catch me when I had my (original - not new) Mini 1275GT (and they couldn't) then anything faster is wasted on UK roads (its a long story, best told over a few pints)

So, I would buy a 1953 Bristol 403 (hxxp://www.bristolcars.co.uk/history/lrg-403-red.jpg) - between £10K and £30K - assuming I could track one down.

I like the idea of having my own personal Hybrid airship too - but they aren't really on open sale yet, so that will have to wait.

You got me beat there, crazy man... my trail sled is only 140hp/498lbs. & the mountain sled is 142hp/500lbs. They're both plenty fast enough to kill me though, so that's good enough for me.  ;D

I love RX-7's - but down here they cost alot to keep them ticking over as the wankel engine is a little bit of an exotic engine.

Also, there are not many RX-7s to be had - which is a shame!
