Title: repeat reinclusion submissions?
Post by: Gurtie on February 28, 2013, 11:25:01 AM
has anyone got an opinion on whether repeat reinclusion submissions will harm a site?

I am strangely advising on two clean up jobs at the moment. One has already been through three rounds of disavowal and reinclusion request with no luck (prior to consulting me), but frankly I can see a lot of stuff that hasn't been disavowed which is likely to be a contributing factor, I could actually probably come up with a list of the most likely suspects in a couple of hours, but it will take me a lot longer to work through and go 'ok this is probably everything I would worry about'

so - should I disavow the worst as round 4 and then work on round 5 while waiting for a response, or am I better waiting and doing everything properly (in so far as second guessing google ever will be) so as not to tip us over an 'x strikes and you're out' type filter?

And also - there are a small number disavowed links which I think are perfectly legit. Has anyone 'undisavowed' links. I would do this after sorting the penalty problem, but seems a pity to ditch really good links, I am 99.9% sure these are not part of the problem, but am wondering whether Google will then think I'm taking the piss and send me to the 7th circle or something?

Cheers

Denise.

I don't think there are any absolutes here, but advice I've heard from people with extensive reconsideration request experience has been

... to be up front and comprehensive.
... G doesn't like to feel like you're blagging them.

But, I have also heard repeat requests eventually being successful once more info is provided, so you may not necessarily burn bridges if you don't provide everything first time round.

Frankly, if you're doing a reconsideration request, its because the site is "harmed" in the first place.

If it were me, I'd get all the data together in one request rather than rounds 4 and 5 separately.
