Title: PPC conference recommendations?
Post by: Gurtie on March 27, 2013, 10:54:40 AM
is SMX london any good for ppc?

Or any other recommendations in the UK on the next four or five months? For people who know how to do it, but ideally need to be inspired and perhaps an expo with some useful tools on show......

They did have some PPC sessions last year, I haven't been to them. The expo is quite large with all kinds of tools so I'd speculate there will be some.

You might want to join the google engage thing and go to one of their conferences if they have it. It is basically a sales pitch, but hearing the way other people do some things was pretty interesting to me. Also it was free.

I hear is pretty good.

At conference I have never gotten much from PPC panels. They are either pitching to newbs or pitching some management product.

that's my problem - the PPC staff want to go to some conferences and thats fine, but at £700 a head plus travel it would be good to know we'll get some value out of it!

That's a standard employer answer isn't it? You never know, if you never send them :)
..but as a business owner I hear ya though ;-)

I know. And the networking might be worthwhile for them.

Although I think they might really be better going to a decent SEO one and talking PPC in the bar  ;D
