Title: FB Page Vanity URL not Available
Post by: ukgimp on July 25, 2013, 09:45:23 AM
Hello

Anyone got any experience in getting a FB vanity url for a page that seems to be unavailable.

eg

fb,com/myurl.com

Surely only I should be able to have that, or are we talking trademark required?

Cheers

I'm not sure I understand the questions... what is a 'page that seems to be unavailable'? You mean someone else already has the name you want and now you want to take it from them by force, using a trademark, if need be, to make an intellectual claim?

...and someone else is already using this FB Page name?  (How is it not available?)  Do you want to petition FB to get it back?

Right, you can have a '.' in there, but not a '.com', or else THAT would be the tld.

A domain name can't have a slash. There's no reason you can't have a .com in a URL after the slash

facebook.com.com  isn't valid unless you own com.com (which is CNET by the way)

facebook.com/google.net/yahoo.org/twitter.com is just fine and is a valid FB url.

Well, spank my ass and call me Sally; I would have never guessed such a thing.
