It looks interesting...I refuse ot buy cable but like hte idea of buying hulu and pluging this thing into my TV...
Anyone try it?
I have everything *but* Chromecast on Louise's media centers. Roku 1, Roku 2, Roku 3, and Apple TV ...get Roku 3, it has some great features. The feature I bought it for was the headphone jack in the remote so I don't have to hear the TV.
I like Roku as well. You can get Hulu plus on it for a fee just like Chrome cast.
If you are a member of Amazon Prime, you get access to tons of free movies and TV shows on demand with Amazon Instant Video on Roku. I don't think the others have this. I also like the news stream on the MHz channel.
I have a ChromeCast. Once they get more content available it will be pretty cool but right now it only has Netflix, Google Play, and Youtube. If they can get Hulu and some other services fired up it will be a pretty useful gadget. But if you are looking for something right now go with a Roku.
I'm pretty sure I read last week that Hulu has signed on to CC.

Looks like you're right. http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/devices/chromecast/#netflix
Here is another speculation: When the NFL's deal with Direct TV is up after next season I think we will see Sunday Ticket coming to the ChromeCast. Probably won't be an exclusive deal like they have with DirectTV at the moment but I think Google will be a big player to get in on that one.

There is buzz that Disney is working in some streaming options for Monday Night Football. *When* the NFL provides (legal) streaming, cable is dead.
