Title: Google Analytics and Rankings
Post by: Fearless_Shultz on November 24, 2013, 03:36:54 PM
Just a wonderance really. If webmasters en masse stopped using / actively opposing use of Google Analytics would the propaganda machine start pushing the idea that it's use actually helped in improving rankings?

They always denied it...

once you are tied into adwords it is a difficult one to drop though.

Have to be a hugh groundswell for that to happen....  how would that come about?

Fear of attack from the code?

If there were more perceived quality in the open-source options I could see some big sites making the switch. From my end all of the enterprise people seem to know Analytics and regard it as the best. It's hard to convince them to try anything else.
