Crikey. Combine this with Creepy Eric's Google that will tell you what you are searching for before you search and you have a god or maybe a Wife.

I see this as do-able ...at least as far as starting items with a known history moving toward a local distribution center.  It's just a step up and retail version of manufacturers' "just in time" delivery.
