Title: Has G destabilized or otherwise diminished Youtube?
Post by: rcjordan on January 22, 2014, 12:29:54 AM
Or are the number of complaints I'm repeatedly seeing hardware (weak mobile browsing) related?  I do not open enough vids to qualify as a proper judge, but I can't say I've noticed any wholesale breakdown of YT services on those I have opened.

Yet I see constant bitching on reddit and tech review sites saying, for instance, that you can't scroll back the timing cursor or it'll crash.  This appears to be unrelated to the OTHER bitching about having to have a G+ account for commenting.

Could this be related?

Obviously somebody has complained otherwise Google wouldn't do anything.

What I'm finding so far is that ISP throttling and/or DNS issues are being blamed by (seemingly, to me) level-headed tech types.  The named evil-doers that keep being pointed to are Comcast and Time Warner.

I'm a heavy youtube user and bemoan the day G took them over.

Crashes, freezes, UI problems, important functions buried deep within menus.

Having to give your mobile number to G (and the NSA and the CIA !) as well as other irrelevant details.

They are a monster !

There are some nutters on youtube who think G is the antichrist ...
