Title: Ergometrics: Texting BAD

Plenty of us here have battled carpel tunnel and bitched about our chairs and how to optimize our articulating keyboards.  But my wife never had any problems until she moved to the ipad and smartphone combo.

Did I beat Rooftop?

Doubt it. Do you have a warp drive?

hhh!

Louise started having *severe* arm and shoulder pain about 7 or 8 months ago.  It didn't take a rocket scientist to look at her posture and just how MUCH she was on a mobile device and -in some ways more telling- how a mobile causes you to keep your arm extended-and-suspended in a forward-reaching manner.

She, of course, was suspect of my superior diagnostic skills and dismissed them out-of-hand.  ...Until it got so bad it started keeping her awake.

So I found some youtube videos of "forward head" exercises.  TRY them!

Fixed it in a matter of weeks.

Doctor RC.

Are they the ones that make you look like a chicken? I tried those :)

Seriously though, I am glad Louise is feeling better.  Dad is 91 and does them. Keeps that part of him more mobile.

>chicken

Some. Others were back-to-the-wall, arms extended, raise/lower --more hawk than chicken.

Mostly, I think you just become aware of your poor posture and start correcting it.
