"The UK Independence Party is the most favourably regarded of all the main parties,"
There are two parts of that statement that I struggle with.
1. I'm surprised that they are seen favourable
2. I'm equally surprised that they are described as one of "the main parties"
We like satire, us Brits. And we miss the Monster Raving Loonies.
This is the party that said the Somerset levels have been underwater for a month because we pissed God off by legalising gay marriage. Bless
Nigel Farage was hounded out of Edinburgh when he was canvassing up there. I guess the comparison to the tea party is the similarity of some Conservative views with UKIP, like Republican and the Tea Party in the US... and the Conservatives struggle to get a seat in Scotland. He seems fairly competent to me, but I'm not anti-EU or have negative views about immigration, but
>Somerset levels have been underwater for a month because we pissed God off by legalising gay marriage
Stuff like that won't get them voted in for sure.
I think the current Government are doing an OK job. Being paid in £GBP and spending in $CAD, the rate has went from $1.50 last January to $1.84.
