First I heard of the concept of a mesh network -- very cool.  It sort of reminds me of the idea of repeaters for HAM radio.  I am going to have to learn more about this.

Yeah, I'm thinking that mesh will eventually disrupt ISPs as we know them. At this stage, we're still going to need some sort of access to the trunks, but who knows what will happen 10 years from now. Smartphones could make up a 'liquid mesh' in cities.  In suburban areas, maybe an external repeater like I have for our cell phones.
